The Struggle Continues...

Hi everyone. Told you I'd be back. While I was not blogging I was still on the journey to a better me, but I did run into a lot of obstacles. At the end of my last post I left it at the point where I thought I injured my heel during my last 5k. It turned out I had plantar fascia (can you say painful). It is not an injury that just goes away. I was in most pain in the morning and after sitting for long periods of time. That injury took me out for a few months and I wasn't able to workout as much as I wanted/needed to. It just seemed like I had a bad run in with injury because soon after I injured my big toe on my other foot and it took me out for a bit. The thing with that is I actually waited over a month to get it checked out which made it worse. Lesson learned. I am now out because I recently had to have surgery and I have been banned from workout until I am released from the doctor. My post surgery follow-up is Tuesday so hopefully all goes well and I am released to do some kind of workout. Y'all the struggle has definitely been real for me, but I have not given up. Each time I am able and allowed I hit the gym. I even up'd my workout schedule to 5 days a week. I will get back to it and hit it hard. As my instructor says all the time "GO HARD OR STAY HOME"...
